We have so many exciting thing going on in the Cornish Music Department! Tomorrow (Sept. 23rd) is a recital by Molly Barth on flute and this weekend, we have two Cornish Music Series Events (Taub, Schenkman, and Whittaker as well as Randy Halberstadt's CD Release Party). As students, I really hope you take advantage of attending noon concerts, masterclasses and Cornish Music Series Concerts.
Also, please let me know if you have ideas for how we could be doing things better in the music department. My door is always open to hear your ideas! This would also be a good week to come by and tell me (or Kent) how you are doing with classes so far. If you wait to get a tutor until midterms, it might be too late to make any real progress.
Are things better with teoria, Moodle, and Naxos? We don't want to offer services that aren't user friendly, so please tell us how things are going.
How do you like to hear about events happening at Cornish? Send me an email or comment on this blog so I know how to communicate with you best.
Have a great week! Next Monday, Jerry Granelli (drummer) will be with us for a four day residency. Take advantage of your time with him, especially if you are drummer.
My thoughts for Wednesday...more next week:)
